Articles Workflow

The Articles workflow makes it easy to deposit an open access copy of an article that was previously published elsewhere and assigned a DOI. Collection managers can choose whether or not to make this option available for their collections. 

This option is available for the widely used Stanford University Open Access Articles collection.

Easy steps to article deposit

  1. Upload article pdf
  2. Select which version of the article it is
  3. Select a license (guidance provided)
  4. Check box to agree to Terms of Deposit
  5. Enter article DOI or PMCID and click to retrieve the metadata
  6. Deposit

Which workflow should I choose?

Choose the article workflow when your work is an article and a DOI has already been issued for this article.

Choose the standard workflow when your work does not have a DOI or is not an article. The article workflow only works when the DOI metadata indicates the resource type of the work is "article."
