New SDR self-deposit application launches!

Redesigned and full of great new features!

We are pleased to announce the release of a brand new self-deposit application for our campus users of the SDR! The new application streamlines and improves the deposit process for both depositors and collection managers.

Check out some of the major improvements below, and stay tuned to this website for future video tutorials and updated documentation.

We'll be continuing work until the end of July, so keep an eye out for even more new features!

File uploading

Streamlined and more intuitive drag and drop of hierarchies without the need to create zip files. AND we've increased our file display limit from 250 to 25,000!

Shared permissions

You can now share your deposits in progress with your fellow Stanford researchers, labmates, and group project members! Give them permission to view, edit, and/or deposit your work. Also great for handing off deposits to others for future updates when you leave Stanford.

Globus for lots of content

Our Globus integration for transferring up to 4 TB of content to the SDR is better than ever! Files from Globus now display in the app, and drag and drop can now be used to add files to content transferred initially from Globus.

Refreshed home page and site design

Info you're looking for is now easier to find. Our refreshed look and redesigned form layout with left navigation provides an easier-to-navigate workflow.

PDF previews

Single files deposited as pdfs are now automatically displayed for reading in-browser without the need to download.

Help for collection managers

Add all of the depositors to your collection in one go, instead of one at a time! Take advantage of options to pre-fill contact emails, contributors, and work types and subtypes to streamline deposit submission, minimize errors, and make deposit review easier!
